- HONEY BUN COOKIE DOUGH:
- 1 cup salted butter - soft
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- HONEY GLAZE
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2/3 cup powdered sugar
- 3 tbsp honey
- 1-2 tablespoon almond milk
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line your baking pan with parchment paper
In a large bowl use hand mixer and cream together butter and sugar
Add eggs, vanilla extract. Mix well
Combine,flour,baking powder, cornstarch, baking soda and cinnamon until well combined
sing a 1/3 measuring cup, scoop cookie mix and roll into a ball. Flatten the cookie dough slightly and using a chopstick or thick toothpick make the honey bun swirl on each cookie
Bake at 350 for 11-12 minutes. Allow cookies to cool on the cookie tray.
While the cookies are cooking you can start to make honey glaze
Melt butter powdered sugar, honey and almond milk in a small saucepan over low heat. Continue to stir the glaze until all sugar is dissolved. Do not let boil and burn
Remove the pan from the stove top then using a pastry brush, brush each cookie while warm.
