Ingredients

  • 9 cups popped popcorn
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 4 drops blue food coloring
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 10.5 oz bag marshmallows
  • 1 cup mini Oreos
  • 1 cup mini Chips Ahoy slightly broken
  • 24 candy eyeballs

Instructions

  • In a small pot, heat the sugar and water over medium-high heat until it forms a clear syrup and the sugar dissolves. Stir frequently.
  • Stir in the blue food coloring until you achieve a vibrant, even color.
  • Pour the blue syrup over the popped popcorn in a large bowl and mix well until all the popcorn is coated evenly.
  • Gently fold in the mini Oreos and broken mini Chips Ahoy to the coated popcorn.
  • In a large pot, melt the butter over low heat. Add the marshmallows and stir continuously until they are completely melted.
  • Pour the melted marshmallow mixture over the popcorn and cookie mixture. Stir quickly to evenly distribute.
  • Using plastic gloves, shape the mixture into 12 evenly sized popcorn balls.
  • Press two candy eyeballs onto each popcorn ball to complete the Cookie Monster look.
  • Let the popcorn balls cool and set for about 20 minutes before serving.
