The Best Homemade Twix Bars
To me, there is nothing better than homemade candy bars. Candy bars are yummy, but when you make them homemade, you can control the quality of ingredients and the flavor blows the store-bought mass-produced bars away.
The chocolate layer of the bars can be milk chocolate or dark chocolate if you like that better. And you can use great quality chocolate with more deliciousness in every bite than twix candy bars could ever have. For the shortbread layer, using real butter gives the layer tons more flavor than that dried-up little crisp ever could. The chewy caramel is much better as well. You can also use brown sugar instead of white to enhance the layers of flavor. You can add peanut butter if that’s your jam.
There are so many ways you can improve your favorite candy bars with a copycat recipe when you have those candy bar cravings. I highly recommend trying to make your own version of your favorite one ASAP. You’ll see when you try these Twix copycats. And you can store them in an airtight container and enjoy more than one!
