What are truffles?
Truffles, the decadent chocolate confection, are small, bite-sized confections made from a mixture of chocolate ganache (a mixture of melted chocolate and cream) and sometimes other flavorings. They are named “truffles” because of their resemblance to the fungus truffles, usually being round or irregularly shaped with a rough surface. They can be infused with various flavorings such as liqueurs, fruits, spices, or extracts to create a wide range of tastes and textures.
