Why You’ll Love These Protein Clusters

  • Protein Boost: Thanks to the Greek yogurt and flax seed, these frozen bites offer staying power—perfect for fueling your body post-workout or staving off mid-afternoon hunger.
  • Kid-Friendly: Kids love bananas and caramel, so these treats are a sneaky way to get them eating yogurt and flax without complaints.
  • Customizable: Swap in different flavors of yogurt, add a dash of cinnamon, or roll clusters in crushed nuts or granola before freezing for extra crunch.
  • No-Bake Simplicity: This recipe is incredibly easy to make with no oven required. Just mix, freeze, and enjoy!

Tips for Best Results

  • Use ripe but firm bananas—they should be sweet but not mushy, so the clusters hold their shape better.
  • Make sure to stir the flax seed in well to prevent clumping.
  • For an extra touch of decadence, drizzle melted dark chocolate over the caramel before freezing.

A glass bowl containing sliced bananas, a large portion of yogurt, and a small pile of ground flaxseed on a white marble surface.

I use honey vanilla Greek yogurt, which has a thinner consistency. I have also made these with plain Greek yogurt or vanilla flavor, which was thicker. Each works fine, just the thinner spreads a little more. So if you make the spoonfuls a little smaller, they will spread out less.
