Godiva stuffed cookies
Godiva makes chocolate chips and has been since the 90s. They are a popular product made with high-quality Belgian chocolate and they come in milk and dark. You can get them at most stores or order them online.
Now let’s talk for a minute about the perfect cookie! There are a ton of variables and we all have our favorite kind. Some people like the crunchy ones, and some people like them chewy. I like a crunchy outside with a chew in the middle. Oh so good. So it comes down to flour and fat.
The secret to the perfect cookie
All-purpose flour has more gluten than self-rising flour or cake flour, so it makes a chewier cookie. Gluten gives cookies structure because it’s elastic.
Fat helps delay sugar from crystalizing, so the more fat you have, the softer, chewier cookie you end up with. Less butter makes a crispier cookie.
For a perfect cookie, use high-quality butter, eggs, and flour. Measure well. Cream the butter and sugar together until it’s super light and fluffy before you add anything else to it. This makes sure the sugar is distributed in the fat well enough to make your cookies soft and perfect.
Make sure you leave enough space between your cookies for them to spread. And if they are spreading too much, chill the dough and try again.
Another pro tip is to line your baking sheets with parchment. They bake better and there is less cleanup.
